Welcome to the practice of Albert Underhill, Attorney.

Mr. Underhill practiced from law school graduation in 1976 to 2007 with the intellectual property law firm Merchant & Gould, P.C. in Minneapolis. He became a shareholder in the firm in 1982 and was a senior vice president when he left the firm to relocate to Phoenix, AZ.

Mr. Underhill served as chair of the Merchant & Gould litigation practice group and was on its board of directors for many years. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School teaching its patent moot court program. In 2007 Mr. Underhill joined Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. in Phoenix as of counsel and in June 2010 opened his own practice in Phoenix.

His practice continues to focus on intellectual property disputes including litigation, mediation and arbitration and counseling clients generally on intellectual property matters. Mr. Underhill has relationships with other law firms with whom he can affiliate to provide additional resources if needed to meet a client’s needs.
